On March 27, the SCO International Half Marathon and the fourth Tashkent Marathon started in our country. The sporting event was held in the capital, as part of the 2022 SCO summit. Thousands of amateur runners and professionals of all ages took part in the sports festival. Everyone could try their hand at 3 distances of 3, 10, 21 km, as well as in the ekiden competition, which is a relay race for a marathon distance (42 km).
Marathon participants could choose one of two distances:
· from Afrosiyob and Beshagach streets (near Humo Arena), along Nukus, Abdulla Kodiri, Abay streets;
· from Afrosiyob, Sharaf Rashidov streets, along Islam Karimov street, to Afrosiyob street.
Employees of the Enter Engineering company could not miss this sports festival, and they, together with other participants, came to the Humo Arena ice palace early in the morning on Sunday, waiting for the command “Ready! Steady! Go!” Most of our employees who took part in the race chose a distance of 21 kilometers for themselves, and three even set themselves the highest goal - 42 kilometers! Enter Engineering team of athletes included leading and chief specialists, as well as heads of departments. Namely,
1. Timur Genzhebekov - Leading Planning Engineer of the project "Construction of the Baysun Gas Processing Plant";
2. Andrey Durnev – Chief Document Management Specialist of the project "Construction of the Baysun Gas Processing Plant";
3. Oleksandr Ostapchuk - Chief Planning Engineer of the project "Construction of the Baysun Gas Processing Plant";
4. Vazgen Karakozov - Leading Specialist of the Production Technology Department of the project "Construction of the Baysun Gas Processing Plant";
5. Ilyas Timerkhanov - Leading Specialist in Planning and Reporting of the Directorate of Gas Chemical Projects;
6. Oleg Parsegov - Coordinator of the project "Modernization of the Fergana Oil Refinery";
7. Anton Tkachenko - Chief Inspection Specialist of the project "Expansion of ShGCC";
8. Denis Mambetov - Deputy Head of the Inventory and Warehouse Management Department.
Our employees did not manage to get prizes, but everyone reached the finish line with excellent results. Someone covered the distance easily, someone more difficult, but everyone seemed to enjoy the prevailing atmosphere of a large-scale holiday, and felt the excitement of sports, felt like a part of a big team. All runners plan to try their hand in other competitions and improve their results in further races.
