On November 5-8 Tashkent hosted the international friendly matches among young hockey players. The teams of Uzbekistan (Tashkent Select U-14 and Tashkent Select U-17) and teams ‘Alga’ from Kyrgyzstan and ‘Tornado’ from Kazakhstan took to the ice of the Humo Arena.
The games with the Uzbek teams were very spectacular and productive. The hockey players of Tashkent Select U-14 won two victories in four games, scoring a total of 20 goals against opponents. The Tashkent Select U-17 team participated in three games, and in one of the matches they overcame their opponent. 17-year-old hockey players hit the rival’s gates 16 times.
Jasurbek Rustamkhanov, a player of the Uzbek U-17 team, scored the fastest goal of the tournament (on the 3rd second of the match) in a game with Tornado and became the best hockey player of the match. Jasurbek received the stick of world hockey star, Pavel Datsyuk, 2012 world champion.
The matches were held as part of the training session of the Uzbek youth team for the Open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2021-2022.
