Educational and methodological seminars and training exercises (drills) were arranged with the support of the Republican Trade Union Council of Energy, Oil, Gas and Geology Workers of Uzbekistan from 27 to 29 April 2022 at the at the Construction of the Chemical Complex in Samarkand project. The events were held under the slogan “Increasing a Culture of Prevention in Occupational Safety and Health.” It was attended by responsible employees of the Enter Engineering Trade Union Committee and leading specialists from the HSE Department.
Upon arrival of participants and experts at the site of "Construction of chemical complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in Samarkand Region", they were briefed on the complex workflow of reconstruction, and an exhibition of technical security means and equipment for ensuring safety and fire protection was also arranged.
A briefing on the usage of the primary firefighting equipment was held as part of a training exercise (drill) with a presentation by detachment commanders of Samarkand region's Ministry of Emergency Situations under the guidance of the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, Colonel Nurzhan Bekbaum. After all, the drills' effectiveness largely depends on the results achieved during the briefings.
A practical firefighting training exercise (drill) was arranged following the demonstration of primary firefighting equipment, which was aimed at acquiring practical skills in extinguishing real fires with firefighting equipment and with the help of mobile equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The drill was held and completed at the highest professional level and involved an extensive discussion.
At the beginning of the business portion of the seminar, the Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union, Bobir Kenzhaev, made a welcoming speech. The subject of his report - “Primary Trade Union Organization as an important condition for the social development of the team” was of interest to all the trainees and was warmly welcomed by the participants.
In the first part of the seminar the following persons made presentations on different topics: Rustam Shamuradov, chief specialist of HSE department; Sobirjon Egamberdiev, head of international relations department of the Republican Trade Union Council of Energy, Oil, Gas and Geology Workers of Uzbekistan; Almat Tuksubaev, chairman of the primary trade union organization of Aktobemunayservice Department, a branch of CNPC-Aktobemunaygas JSC; Jumaniyaz Palvanov, chief specialist of HSE Department; Shukhrat Urinov, leading specialist of HSE Department; Kodir Ergashev, ecologist of HSE Department.
A cultural program was also included in the workshop meeting program. In particular, one could get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Samarkand.
At the end of the workshop-meeting its participants expressed their gratitude to the hosting party, the trade union management and hoped to continue the tradition of holding such meetings at the premises of one of Enter Engineering's regional projects.
