On January 22, at the Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, a scientific-practical and educational-methodical conference was held on the topic “Modern Medicine and Information Technology in the Learning Process during the COVID-19 pandemic”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Mamur Abdurakhmanov, the professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the HSE Department of Enter Engineering. The event with a rich program was partially organized in an online format, which ensured the participation of more than fifty leading medical specialists not only from our republic, but also from neighboring countries.

All the speakers who spoke, distinguished the anniversary celebrant with warmth and respect and highlighted the relevance of the event amidst the pandemic.

Thanks to his efforts and administrative abilities, the quality of medical care for the population has improved many times over. Organization of such a significant event with the involvement of a large number of leading world experts once again confirms that Professor Abdurakhmanov, with his hard work for fifty years, has earned a due respect in the world of medicine. Specialists like him are worthy descendants of our great scientist-healer Abu Ali ibn Sina.
The conference was organized in two sections with connectivity for Live Stream on the Zoom platform. The first part of the event were discussed issues of modern Surgery, Neurosurgery, Traumatology, Pediatric surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Resuscitation, Life support (intensive therapy), Obstetrics & Gynecology. The second section covered such topics as "Information Technology in the Learning Process”, "Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Hygiene and the Environment" and others. The conference was attended by prominent figures in the field of medicine, academicians, scientists, doctors and candidates of medical sciences from the Russian Federation, Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and other countries, as well as representatives of the higher-education teaching personnel of prestigious universities in Russia and Uzbekistan.
The event was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
