Construction and inventive work on the project «The construction of the Great Silk Road Tourist Centre» is in full swing. Along with the employees of the facility, the medical staff also performs their professional duty perfectly.
Sometimes the construction process can be overshadowed by unpleasant consequences, for example, various injuries. In such accidents, the provision of immediate first aid becomes important. That is why the paramedics of the CTC facility are instructed every day on the provision of first aid, concerning the protection of the health of workers at the facility. The topic of the next training is «Bleeding. Types of bleeding. Methods to stop bleeding». It was conducted by first-aid man Makhkam Samadov and Hazrat Umarov.
The builders were provided with valuable information that the main principle of providing assistance for injuries is to stop bleeding by any possible means. In particular, it can be the imposition of applying a tourniquet, a pressure bandage, forced limb flexion, etc. A belt from trousers, a strap from protective equipment for mountaineering, a piece of fabric can be used as a harness. It is advisable to apply a pressure bandage only with severe blood loss, necessarily above the bleeding site. The tourniquet should be applied through the fabric so as not to cause necrosis of the skin and tighten until the bleeding stops completely, but not very much so as not to squeeze the nerves. If medical assistance is not provided to the victim within an hour, then every 30 minutes it is worth loosening the tourniquet for 10 minutes, and then tightening it again. It was also emphasized that it is necessary to specify the time of its imposition.
«Knowledge of the rules and the ability to provide first aid to victims is a vital skill for every person who, in an emergency situation, can save the life not only of himself, but also of his loved ones and others. Timely and proper provision of pre-medical care will save the life and health of many victims, as well as reduce the time of treatment for injuries and emergencies» - commented the medical assistant of the CTC Makhkam Samadov.
The employees of this facility listened attentively to the training hosts, asked questions, and learned how to temporarily stop external bleeding. After all, the possession of first aid skills is one of the most important tasks, since it often allows you to save life and health not only for yourself, but also for colleagues.
