Health care specialists state that first aid treatment during an emergency (ES) can be professionally and accurately done only when organizing a training process that is close to the real conditions of an emergency. Therefore, the company regularly conducts thematic trainings in order to inform employees about everything related to occupational health and safety and providing first aid. Training in the latter gives a chance to save the life and health of a person before the medical staff arrives.
During the implementation of the “Construction of a tourist center in Samarkand” Project, our health care specialists conducted a training on “First Aid Treatment for Fall from Height. Basic Rules in Applying the Bandaging.”
The most specific injuries and damages during a fall from a height, as well as first aid principles for bruises and dislocations, were considered. The algorithm of necessary actions depending on the condition of the injured person was discussed.
It was also mentioned that it was unacceptable to move the injured person to another place, take off his clothes or let him move. They learned in detail about the rules for carrying the injured person on a scoop stretcher and patient's skin preparation with antiseptics in order to protect against infection. They learned about the methods of anesthesia and the application of a cold compress. In addition, they showed how to properly immobilize the injured limb of the injured person with the help of an improvised splint.
“When an employee knows and understands how to avoid possible risks, prevent emergencies and accidents at a construction site, improve working conditions at the workplace, he will be able to preserve his and his colleagues’ health,” said Mahkam Samadov, a medical assistant.
