Due to the unfavorable situation due to the new coronavirus infection in the world and in our country, the Company takes all necessary measures to comply with the requirements of legislation and best practices in organizing an appropriate level of safe working conditions and health protection of all personnel involved in the facilities.
Considering that one of the priority projects today is the construction of a world-scale facility - the GTL plant in Kashkadarya region, from the first day of the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the management of Enter Engineering Pte. Ltd. together with the management of the UzGTL project and the Department of Occupational Safety, Health and Safety The environment promptly assessed all possible risks of the spread of COVID-19 on this project, which employs more than 10,000 people.
The plan of organizational, sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures developed by the Company to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, which is implemented on all projects of Enter Engineering Pte. Ltd., is also effectively implemented on the UzGTL project. In particular, by joint efforts and in a short time it was possible to implement the following:
• Taking into account the required amount of stock, disinfecting chemicals, together with spraying equipment, antiseptics for hand treatment, personal protective equipment (special suits for treatment, medical masks, gloves, safety glasses) and quartz lamps for room treatment were delivered to the construction site;
• At all checkpoints, both on the territory of the plant and shift camps, the access regime has been strengthened, and expensive modern thermal imagers have been installed to measure the temperature of workers' bodies;
• Contactless thermometers were issued to employees of the project's health protection department;
• To increase the immunity of the Company's employees and prevent the disease, the diet includes foods with vitamin C;
• In public places throughout the project, campaign materials in the form of banners in 3 languages (Uzbek, Russian and English) are placed;
• Training material on combating coronavirus has been prepared and is being used on a periodic basis to inform the Company's employees in order to increase their knowledge about the virus and all necessary precautions;
• Medical centers of the project are equipped with an additional amount of necessary medicines;
• Frame stationary sprayers of disinfectant for disinfection of vehicles are installed at the entry and exit checkpoints on the territory of the plant;
• A modern method of disinfection of the shift camp, construction site and internal driveways with the use of fire equipment of the project has been introduced;
• On a regular basis, disinfection of office premises, catering facilities and staff accommodation is carried out with disinfectant material using knapsack sprayers;
Additionally, the "COVID-19" headquarters is organized on the territory of the industrial zone of the project, headed by the chairman of the sanitary epidemiologist of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of Kashkadarya region - A. Khabibulaev, where employees can contact with questions, suggestions and claims at any time. All requests are reviewed and processed promptly and brought to the initiator.
In addition, the project has round-the-clock medical centers equipped with all necessary equipment, medicines and personnel, where employees can contact at any time of the day. At the same time, in order to preserve the quarantine zone, the mobilization of local and foreign personnel for the project has been suspended.
Work on the construction of the GTL plant in Kashkadarya region, as well as on other projects of the Company, is carried out in a regular mode, in compliance with all the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the plan of organizational sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures approved by Enter Engineering Pte. Ltd. for timely prevention of all prerequisites for the possible spread of coronavirus infection among personnel.
