Samarkand tourist Center "The Great Silk Road" is a new pearl of Central Asia. The elegant lines of the hotel buildings, the oriental flavor of the "Eternal City", the businesslike composure of the congress hall, the brightness of the light and music fountain - everything is thought out to the smallest detail, each individual element harmoniously merges into a single architectural and landscape ensemble.
The complex includes eight international-level hotels with a total number of rooms of about 1.2 thousand. Of these, two are five—star, two are four-star. The Samarkand Regency Amir Temur 5* hotel will be the first in Central Asia to join the association of the world's leading hotels — The Leading Hotels of the World.
It is also planned to receive tourists coming here for treatment and recovery. At their service is a medical cluster, which includes four Wellness Park Hotels. The guests will be offered programs of comprehensive medical examination and improvement of the body.
The largest congress center in Central Asia allows organizing political, public and business forums of any scale. The high-tech venue has thirteen conference halls with a total capacity of up to 3.5 thousand people. A clear confirmation of its broad capabilities will be the holding here in the near future of the summit of the leaders of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. International delegations, headed by the top leadership of their countries, will be able to carry out fruitful work within the framework of the adopted agenda and appreciate the true Oriental hospitality.
The real soul and heart of the STC "Great Silk Road" is the unique historical and ethnographic complex "Eternal City". This is a unique object, which is a platform where all the characteristic traditions of oriental architecture are reflected. Erected directly at the shore of the rowing canal, it is designed to combine all the diversity and beauty of the Uzbek national culture, local flavor and folk traditions. There are galleries and workshops of artisans, renowned masters of applied art and artists representing various regions of Uzbekistan, as well as establishments of national cuisine.
And although they say that statistics are boring and stingy with emotions, but the figures reflecting what was built here in such a short time are amazing. The center is located on the territory of 280 hectares (240 hectares of land and 40 hectares of rowing canal). The length of transport arteries totaled several tens of kilometers: highways — 16.2 km, pedestrian paths and sidewalks — 21.6 km, bike paths — 10.2 km. The total area of landscaping is 176 hectares. 23 thousand trees and 100 thousand ornamental shrubs were planted.
Special attention is paid to the lighting design of the complex. The unique illumination system of buildings and territories allows you to create a unique night image of the STC, while using a minimum amount of electricity. 1,467 energy-saving LED lamps have been installed. By the end of the year, solar panels will also be installed, the capacity of which will fully cover the center's electricity needs.
The lovers of water walks were also taken care of — it will be possible to admire the beauties of the STC from the side of the rowing canal on any of 9 boats, the fleet of which consists of three VIP class vessels (two 20-seater (Italy) and one 30-seater (China)) and 6 4-seater Standard class (China).
After watching the proposed video, you can personally imagine all the greatness of the Samarkand tourist center "The Great Silk Road". Very soon it will open its doors wide for its guests. The convenience of logistics and ample opportunities for the development of domestic tourism, allowing, among other things, to make family trips, will make the STC a favorite vacation destination for Uzbeks.
