The active phase of work continues on the construction of the booster compressor station 6 (BCS 6), carried out by the Enter Engineering group of companies within the framework of the project "Increasing gas storage volumes in the Gazli UGS in combination with additional exploration and development of gas horizons and oil fringes of the field".».
The project provides for a gradual increase in the volume of UGS by restoring its production at the field, the construction of new gas pumping capacities.
Previously, a significant amount of excavation work has already been carried out on the construction site, reinforcement and concreting of foundations have been carried out. Compressor units GPU-100 and GPU-200, flare barrel with reduction and ignition units, block-modular water treatment plant, compressed air compressor and nitrogen generation unit with SWR in block-container design with receivers, a number of other equipment were delivered and installed.
Meanwhile, the concreting of the foundations of the pipe overpass, drainage tank, gas heater site and the input thread block continues. Brickwork is being done and plastering works are being carried out in the buildings of the administrative and household complex, laboratory and SRB. Metal structures are installed for pipelines and cables, welding of pipe assemblies and technological blanks is carried out, installation of equipment (separators, block equipment), wiring of internal and external power grids. Ground work is being carried out on backfilling on ready-made plots.
At the moment, 630 employees and 120 units of various equipment are involved in the construction. All the necessary conditions for effective activity have been created for people — a comfortable shift camp, a canteen, a medical center.
The work is carried out in an area with difficult natural conditions. The climate of the region is characterized as sharply continental with little precipitation, strong winds, high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter. This brings a lot of additional difficulties to builders, imposes increased requirements on machinery, equipment and the quality of materials.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to compensate for seasonal fluctuations in gas consumption by both the population and industrial enterprises. In addition, it is planned to partially direct the extracted raw materials to the domestic market of Uzbekistan, especially in winter.
