Later in Dhaka, the delegation held talks with Nasrul Hamid, Minister of Energy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and experts in the sector. The delegation from Uzbekistan included management members of major Oil-Gas and Construction Companies - ERIELL Group and Enter Engineering.
The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation at the intergovernmental level for development of the Oil and Gas sector in the Republic of Bangladesh, including development of new oil and gas fields.
Cooperation between the two countries has great potential in the construction of gas pipelines and in the renewable energy sector.
Nasrul Hamid, the Minister of Energy, highly appreciated our country’s interest in cooperation in the energy sector and noted that Bangladesh would use the experience of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the hydrocarbon sphere, including improving the skills of Bangladesh engineers. He also accepted an invitation to visit Uzbekistan in order to work out in detail the prospects of further cooperation.
