Work is being completed at the electrical substation
Uninterrupted power supply is the key to the efficient operation of the copper processing plant (CPP—3), being built by Enter Engineering in the Tashkent region.
To solve these issues, electrical installations are being built at various sites of the future plant, designed to receive, convert and distribute electric energy across production facilities. One of these is the substation 35/10/16000 “Ruda” GPP, located at the complex of crushing and transfer plants (CTP).
— After the substation is put into operation, it will supply three CTPs and a conveyor line with the electric energy, — Jamolitdin Boltaev, the energy manager at the “Ruda” GPP said. — During the construction process, a high—voltage line was brought in, 2 closed switchgears for 35 (two lines - main and backup) and 10 kV, as well as 2 transformers for 16,000 kVA were built. Cable ducts and two lighting masts with lightning rods were also erected, duty shift workplaces, stands with individual protective equipment and fire extinguishing were equipped. Now all the installed equipment is at the stage of commissioning.
The CTP complex is one of the key facilities of the future plant. It is here that ore from the Yoshlik deposit will be delivered, which, after preliminary crushing, will be transported along a conveyor belt for further processing.
— The substation has modern equipment that meets all the necessary requirements. The uninterrupted operation of the facility will be monitored in shifts by teams of electricians on duty from among the most trained employees. — Jamolitdin Boltaev noted.
It is worth saying that Jamolitdin-aka is also one of the most experienced energy specialists, he has been working on the construction of the plant since the very first day. He has been at Enter Engineering since 2014 and has managed to participate in the implementation of many major projects of the company.
In conclusion, we emphasize that the construction of CPP-3 will allow Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine to significantly increase the volume of ore processing, which will further increase the output of copper cathode.
