Journalists visited MOF-3
Enter Engineering implements the large-scale project for the construction of the copper processing plant (CPP-3) for the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
To familiarize the general public with the activities of AMMC and the progress of the construction of the CPP, the press tour was held organized by the information service of the plant, which was attended by journalists from print media, television and Internet channels. During the event, the participants visited the “Yoshlik I” deposit and the construction site of the copper processing plant 3.
They inspected the mine, which will produce 60 million tons of ore per year. During communication with the specialists and Enter Engineering, the participants of the press tour learned that stripping works in the amount of 170 million cubic meters were carried out there. As a result, today the ore is mined in the area 3.7 km long, 2.3 km wide and 90 meters deep. Unlike other plants, crushing and transfer units (CTUs) are being built at the mine itself for primary crushing of ore in order to ensure the efficiency of its transportation to the factory.
— This facility will become a part of the complex where cyclic flow technology will be introduced, - Dmitry Kuznetsov, the head of construction of the CFT project said. — It consists of two sites — three CTUs and 4.2 km long main conveyors that will transport ore to the plant warehouse. It is worth noting that this transport line is laid in conditions of difficult terrain. It partially runs along a 44-meter-high bridge overpass. The transportation speed will be 7 meters per second. The introduction of the conveyor system will reduce the cost of ore delivery by at least 30%.
The journalists were able to see firsthand the process of CFT operation — from the delivery of rock by quarry dump trucks and unloading into the receiver of the crushing plant to its transportation along the belt conveyor.
The next point of the press tour was the observation deck at the CPP-3, which offers the impressive panorama of the construction site, where work is at its peak today. In particular, the installation of the delivered technological equipment is carried out at high rate. Significant human and technical resources of Enter Engineering are involved in the construction of the facility. The high social significance of the project was also noted not only for the region, but also for the whole country as a whole. After the commissioning of the Yoshlik I mine and the copper processing plant, more than 6,000 new jobs will be created.
Thanks to the commissioning of the plant, the only one of its kind in the CIS with a modern automated control system, the capacity of AMMC ore processing will increase to 100 million tons.
