Baysun GPP: the peak of work on the project
The active phase of the Baysun Gas Processing Plant (GPP) construction continues in Surkhandarya region.
The project, the customer of which is FC "Surhan Gas Chemical Operating Company" LLC, and the General Contractor - the Enter Engineering Group of Companies, provides for the construction of the GPP for the annual processing of 5 billion m3 of natural gas with the high content of CO2 and H2S produced at the “Mustakillikning 25 yilligi” gas field for the production of purified gas.
The development of the basic project is 100% completed. At the moment, the detailed GPP design by the Uzliti Engineering Design Institute has been completed by 93%. All basic drawings and specifications for procurement and construction and installation work have been released. Working documentation (WD) development has been completed by 98% for infrastructure facilities.
The supply of the long-cycle manufacturing equipment has reached 99%. In particular, 104 units out of 108 units were delivered. The process of production and delivery of other equipment and materials for GPP facilities and infrastructure to the site is in the active stage. To date, 259 units out of 456 units of equipment have been delivered (69% progress). These are pipe products and fittings, trays and cables for electrical installation and instrumentation, as well as the automated process control system, the backup transformer substation and medium voltage switchgear. Pipelines and outlets for collectors and plumes have been supplied according to the gas collection system from the Jurassic fields.
The current progress on construction is 35%, including 40% on GPP. The main part of the concrete work on buildings and foundations for equipment has been completed, concreting of the pavement of driveways and platforms, as well as the access road to the GPP, has begun. In parallel, the installation of metal structures and the construction of railway overpasses is being carried out. In the active stage, welding of technological pipelines in the workshop and on the construction site, laying trays and electrical cables and instrumentation, installation of equipment and its strapping. The installation and painting of all tanks (45 units) has been completed. Individual tests of the installed equipment have also begun. The interior and exterior decoration of the buildings is being carried out, furniture is partially installed in the main control room and laboratory. The construction of the power supply system from the networks of the Ministry of Energy has been completed, and the export gas pipeline has been brought to the territory of the plant. Foundations for equipment, pipe supports and fencing are being built, welding and installation work is underway on plumes from the site of single wells to the cluster site No. 2 in the gas collection system from wells of Jurassic deposits. The site employs 9900 specialists and more than 600 pieces of equipment and mechanisms.
Not so long ago, the Baysun GPP site was visited by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He got acquainted with the progress of construction, talked with specialists, stressed the importance of the future plant for the country's economy and highlighted the activities of the Enter Engineering team working on the implementation of the project.
