Foundry - new production started up
Localisation of demanded equipment, spare parts and consumables is one of the priority directions of Enter Engineering activity. As part of the implementation of tasks in this direction, a foundry was put into operation at Enter Steel's machine-building plant in Almalyk, the main task of which will be the supply of castings for the projects of the Group of Companies.
The basis of its production will be foundry products, the demand for which is currently 2,800 tonnes per year. In particular, the shop will produce cone crusher armour, jaw crusher plates (liners), excavator and loader bucket crowns, castings for special machinery and equipment, and non-ferrous alloy products.
The foundry's capacity at round-the-clock operation will be 3,500 tonnes of castings per year, and the maximum weight of castings is 2.5 tonnes. Steel, stainless, heat-resistant, cast iron, non-ferrous and other types of alloys are smelted in the production process. Electric arc furnaces (DSP-1.5) and induction furnaces (IPP-1.0) are used as the main and additional equipment. It is also worth noting the social significance of the launch of the new division. 120 new jobs were created here, including engineers and technicians, electromechanics, electric furnace steelmakers, welders, thermists, lab technicians, etc.
From the first day of the foundry's operation, great attention has been paid to the observance of high quality criteria for manufactured products. For this purpose, a laboratory has been organised, where modern equipment has been installed - an optical emission spectrometer, a cutting and grinding machine for samples. All products are tested with the help of devices for thawing binders, measuring gas permeability and strength of moulding mixtures and others.
In conclusion, the new foundry's full production capacity will make it possible to establish an uninterrupted supply of quality products in demand, simplify logistics processes and increase profits.
