A training seminar was held
April 28th is traditionally widely celebrated as the World Day of Labour Protection. Enter Engineering, being a socially responsible company, also holds various events dedicated to this date. In particular, training seminars on the topic ‘Impact of climate change on occupational health and safety’ were held at the projects. They were attended by relevant specialists as well as representatives of EE's trade union committee.
At the CPP-3 construction project in Almalyk, the workshop was preceded by an exhibition on existing safety equipment. During the event, Kahramon Nakhshibandiev, Inspector of Trade Union Organisation, Aziz Gafurov, Deputy Project Manager on Administrative Issues, Firuz Dzhuraev, Chief Specialist of HSE Department of CPP-3 addressed the audience. The speakers informed that global changes in weather conditions occurring recently tend to affect production processes, as well as safety and health of personnel. Occupational risks associated with climate change include such phenomena as heat stress, ultraviolet radiation, air pollution, large-scale industrial accidents, extreme weather events, increased infectious diseases and increased exposure to chemicals.
The experts who spoke also shared their recommendations for improving health and safety. In particular, to identify and minimise threats to the health and life of employees, they suggested upgrading workplaces and equipment, improving work organisation, optimising work schedules and so on. It was noted that the introduction of best practices will improve conditions at construction sites, reduce injuries and illnesses among personnel, and increase the efficiency of production processes. The seminar ended with the awarding of 12 employees of the HSE Department with commemorative wristwatches from the company's trade union organisation.
A similar event was held at the Baisun GPP project, where presentations on the subject were made by representatives of the HSE Department and the chairman of the company's trade union organisation Bobur Kenjaev.
Enter Engineering will continue systematic activities to improve occupational health and safety of all types of work!
