An important social project
A project to modernise the gas transmission system of Uztransgaz JSC has entered a decisive phase in Tashkent Region.
The project customer is Transgazengineering LLC and the contractor is Enter Engineering Pte.Ltd. At the moment, works on the Yangiyer-Ahangaran section are underway, involving 270 people and 100 units of equipment.
The project on modernisation of gas transmission systems has been implemented since 2021. It includes phased works on the Bukhara - Ural, Gazli - Nukus, SAC-2, Gazli - Kagan 1020 mm diameter, Gazli - Kagan 1220 mm diameter, DBST, Yangiyer - Ahangaran trunk pipelines. Six of the seven segments have already been completed, 371 km of mains have been laid, and the modernisation of the last segment Yangiyer - Ahangaran should be completed by the beginning of the autumn-winter season.
— The length of the pipeline is 90 kilometres, of which 75 kilometres are now welded in line, 20 kilometres are laid in the trench with backfilling, the diameter of the gas pipe is 1220 mm,’ said Davrojon Adizov, manager of the Welding and Installation Works Department. ؙ- On average, we cover 800 metres in one day - welding and insulating the pipe, laying it in the trench and backfilling. Every 30 kilometres, temporary work camps are set up, three in total along the route, where the staff live and where all the necessary materials are delivered.
Currently, gas pipeline laying works are being carried out in Bekabad district. The speed of advancement largely depends on the terrain. For example, when overcoming water obstacles, the largest of which is the Angren River, the width of which floodplain is up to 500 metres, the builders have to equip additional supports for installation of pipes above water.
Implementation of the project will streamline the gas distribution and metering system and ensure a more stable supply of gas to the population of Fergana, Namangan and Andijan regions.
