ZAAMIN ULTRA 2024 Race
One of the most striking sports events in Uzbekistan — the annual ZAAMIN ULTRA 2024 ultramarathon was held in the picturesque places of the Zaamin National Reserve.
The organizer of the sports competition, which was held here for the fourth time, was the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.
More than 2,100 athletes from 20 countries took part in the races. Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Malaysia, Turkey, the USA, Kazakhstan and others are among them.
ZAAMIN ULTRA 2024 traditionally included four distances: 50 km, 21 km, 10 km and 2 km. Enter Engineering employees represented the company in all categories and showed good results as a result.
— It was the first time I took part in the race on such a difficult track. — Zulfiya Kateeva, the leading specialist of the PR department, commented on the competition. — Its peculiarity is that it is located at the altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. This is the height of six Tashkent TV towers! Therefore, I chose the minimum distance and unexpectedly showed the best time among women in the 2 km race. I also took the 15th place in the overall standings among 670 athletes who started in this category. The organizers did not award the winners of the race, since the distance is considered short, but for me the victory turned out to be significant, because, first of all, it is a victory over oneself!
Pavel Arzamascev, the supervisor of the Department for control and coordination of the construction of MOF-3, also shared his opinion:
"The participants had to struggle not only with the desire to constantly photograph the stunning views of the Zaamin peaks while driving, but also with the peculiarities of the body's reaction to running in the mountains. Descents and ascents, low atmospheric pressure and low oxygen levels — starting at such a height can be a difficult test for a runner of any level of training. I participated here for the first time and I am glad that I coped with all the difficulties, taking first place in my age category in the 10 km race."
Congratulations to all colleagues who took part in the competition and demonstrated real strength of spirit: half marathoners Anna Banyuk with the third place, Timur Meyliev with the sixth place, Otabek Abdurafikov with the 30th place, ultramarathoner for 50 km Oleg Parsegov with the second place.
We wish you inspiration in striving for new heights and strength to overcome any difficulties. Let this success become the example for everyone, reminding that nothing is impossible when there is a will to win!
