Professions have been studied on practice
During the recent training internship, students of the Gubkin Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) in Tashkent had the opportunity not only to review the company's activities and familiarize themselves with the progress of the construction of the BGPP, but also to learn the basics of professions such as welder and slinger.
These practical classes were organized in order children master knowledge, skills and abilities that will be useful to them in their future professional activities. They will also help to form a clear understanding of the importance of representatives of various specialties in the general construction process," Ulugbek Baisov, the Head of the HR Department's Recruitment and Training Department said.
The classes were organized on the material and technical basis of the project, and experienced craftsmen worked with the students. At first, future engineers were skeptical about the study of welding and construction skills, but gradually their interest grew, and when they were entrusted with practical work, there was no limit to the delight of the young men.
"During the lessons, the students got acquainted with the main types of welding work carried out in construction. We studied safety techniques, the material part, technology and welding methods. After that, each of them could practice and make their first stitch. I think that many of them, having taken the first steps during practice, will later want to continue mastering the profession," the instructor, Zarif Shomurodov noted.
It is worth saying a few words about the mentor. Zafar-aka is the experienced welding specialist, has 35 years of professional experience behind him. Interestingly, he joined Enter Engineering after actually retiring. Despite his age, his knowledge and skills came in handy in the company. For several years now, he has been working tirelessly as the instructor — preparing and examining the aptitude of beginners, including those who came from abroad.
No less interesting were the classes of the students-slingers. They learned how to properly place the load before lifting, make it strapped and hung by special slings and tried their hand at this simple at first glance, but such a responsible business.
The guys still have time to study, but this summer they managed to touch a large and complex project. We are sure that they are imbued with local romance, set their sights on achieving new goals and very soon they will be able to proudly call themselves — I am the builder!
